Where are your training's held?
A:
1.) Philadelphia-funded training,
unless otherwise noted, is held on the 23rd Floor of the Wachovia Bank
Building (formerly known as the Fidelity/First Union Bank Building) on
Broad Street between Sansom and Walnut Streets in Center City Philadelphia.
We are easily accessible from the Broad Street Subway (Walnut-Locust stop),
the Market-Frankford Line (two blocks southwest of the City Hall stop),
the Regional Rail Lines (four blocks southeast of Suburban Station), and
convenient to all the buses which run along Broad, Walnut, or Chestnut
Streets. Public transportation is
strongly recommended. There is limited parking available at
a cost in parking garages/lots in the area.
From
Route I95: Take Exit 20 (Columbus Boulevard, Washington Avenue).
Turn left from the exit ramp. Proceed north on Columbus Boulevard to Dock
Street. Turn left and follow the cobblestone street to Walnut Street.
Turn left on Walnut and continue along to Broad Street. Turn right and
the building is on the right.
Also from Route I95: Take Exit 22 (Center City) to Route
676 West. Take the Broad Street exit (Route 611 South) and proceed south
around City Hall. The building is two blocks south of City Hall on the
left (southeast corner).
From 76 EastSchuykill Expressway: Exit towards Center City
on Route 676 East (Vine Street Expressway) Take the Broad Street Exit
and turn right (south) on Broad Street. Go around City Hall. The building
is two blocks south of City Hall on the left (southeast corner).

events typically run Monday through Friday 9:30 am - 4:00 pm. However,

A:

training's are for people and organizations funded by the Philadelphia
Office of Mental Retardation Services (MRS).

A:

Does Networks offer Continuing Education Credits (CEUs)
for its classes?
A:
Networks does offer CEU/CECs for several classes, and is
expanding these offerings each year. Look for the symbol
CEU's / CEC's in the course descriptions on this
website or an (*) in the annual course guide to identify which classes
are approved for these credits. A statement at the bottom of the course
description will inform you which agencies have approved the session for
credit.

What types of CEUs are offered? How much do they cost?
When do I get the certificate?
A:
Networks is pleased to offer continuing education credits
in the following disciplines for several classes (Look for the symbol
CEU's / CEC's):
- Psychology:
approved by the Human Services Center of the Philadelphia Society
of Clinical Psychologists
-Cost-$5.00/contact hour-Please ask upon registration for number of
contact hours/total cost when registering. Make check payable to "The
Human Services Center"
-Certificate will be issued by the approving agency when they receive
Networks' paperwork verifying the completion of the course.
- Social
Work: State Board of Social Workers, Marriage & Family Therapists,
& Professional Counselors
-Cost-$10.00 processing fee made out to "Networks for Training
and Development, Inc."
-Certificate will be issued upon completion of course and payment of
processing fee.
- Nursing:
Developmental Disabilities Nurses Association
-Cost-$10.00 processing fee made out to "Networks for Training
and Development, Inc."
-Certificate will be issued upon completion of course and payment of
processing fee.

It is each participant's responsibility to determine whether or not the
credits being offered meet their individual licensing/accreditation needs.
